In the ever-evolving landscape of real estate, few names command as much respect as Jeffrey DeJesus. Operating primarily in the San Francisco, San Mateo County Peninsula and the Foothills, DeJesus has carved out a niche by blending entrepreneurial zeal with a deep commitment to his community. His journey from a young entrepreneur to a top-tier realtor offers valuable insights into the dynamics of the real estate market.

Jeffrey DeJesus’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early. “I’ve always been an entrepreneur, selling something ever since I was in elementary school,” he recalls. With a natural knack for making friends, he quickly realized the importance of networking. “Early on, I valued my blackbook of phone numbers,” DeJesus notes, highlighting his understanding of the critical role relationships play in business success.

By his early twenties, DeJesus recognized that real estate represented the pinnacle of sales opportunities. Influential books such as “The Greatest Salesman in the World” by Og Mandino, “How to Win Friends & Influence People” by Dale Carnegie, and “The Art of the Deal” by Donald Trump provided the intellectual framework for his career. These texts, rich with strategies and philosophies, equipped him with the tools to navigate the complexities of real estate.

DeJesus’s path to success is dotted with unique experiences and pivotal influences. His early jobs as a paperboy and mailman in the neighborhoods he now serves gave him an intimate understanding of the community. A key figure in his journey was Dan, a friend he met while working at a pet store. “Dan really took the time to help me,” DeJesus recalls. Dan’s mentorship extended beyond business, encompassing personal growth and spirituality. His advice, “The books you read and the people who you hang around is who you’ll become,” became a guiding principle for DeJesus.

The current real estate market presents both challenges and opportunities, particularly with the rise of technology. “The biggest challenges facing the real estate industry are technology and the entrepreneurs who run these technology companies. And the opportunities are technology and the entrepreneurs who know how to utilize them,” DeJesus explains. His strategy involves a hybrid approach, blending traditional methods with modern technology to meet diverse client needs effectively.

Looking ahead, DeJesus sees a cyclical pattern in the real estate market. “History shows 8-10 years up market and 8-10 years down market,” he observes. This long-term perspective underscores the importance of resilience and adaptability in navigating market fluctuations.

One change DeJesus wishes for the industry is increased homeownership. “Owning a home is the American Dream,” he states emphatically. His commitment to this ideal reflects a broader vision of real estate as a tool for social and economic empowerment.

DeJesus’s favorite aspect of being a realtor is the freedom it provides. As a single full-time father, he appreciated the flexibility to spend quality time with his daughter, participate in her school activities, and travel the world together. “Real estate has given me the freedom and time to do things that are also important in life,” he says, underscoring the importance of work-life balance.

This method resonates with his many traditional clients and sets him apart in a competitive market. DeJesus believes in leveraging social media and advertising but insists on maintaining a personal touch in his interactions.

Balancing professional and personal life can be challenging, but DeJesus adheres to a clear hierarchy of priorities: “God, family, health, and work, in that order.” This philosophy ensures that he remains grounded and focused on what truly matters.

DeJesus’s career is distinguished by numerous accolades and awards from every company he has been associated with. His dedication to excellence and community service has not gone unnoticed.
