Hip-hop artist and cultural tastemaker GIMS is turning his creative eye toward architecture and lifestyle with The Valley, a new residential project near Marrakech that blends modern elegance with the timeless appeal of Moroccan landscapes. Developed in collaboration with Horizon Morocco, this collection of private villas is designed to feel like an everyday escape. The project reflects GIMS’s passion for both art and lifestyle, creating a space where design meets tranquility. With a focus on luxury and sustainability, The Valley promises to be a destination for those seeking both comfort and connection to the natural world.
A Place That Feels Like Forever
South of bustling Marrakech, along the scenic Route de l’Ourika, lies a quieter stretch of land where the light glows golden and the snow-tipped Atlas Mountains loom in the distance, a setting that captivated GIMS. For him, this corridor evokes the relaxed luxury of Palm Springs fused with the spirit of Morocco. The unique landscape offers a peaceful retreat, far from the noise of the city, yet close enough to experience the vibrant culture of Marrakech. It is a place where modern living harmonizes with the natural beauty of the region, inviting both residents and visitors to immerse themselves in its serenity.
On January 26, GIMS and Horizon Morocco will officially introduce The Valley, Private Residences, a community of 50 thoughtfully designed villas meant to reflect this unique energy.
Where California Cool Meets Moroccan Craft
Walking into The Valley feels like stepping into a design dream: mid-century modern California influences, think open plans, walls of glass, and seamless indoor-outdoor living, sit comfortably alongside traditional Moroccan touches. Warm terracotta hues, intricate screenwork casting delicate shadows, and handcrafted terrazzo floors add local character, while rooftop terraces offer postcard-worthy views of the Atlas. Each villa is thoughtfully designed to enhance the natural light and surrounding scenery, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere. The fusion of contemporary design and Moroccan craftsmanship offers a unique living experience that effortlessly blends style and tradition.
Water, Wellness & Daily Magic
The heart of the community is a nearly 100-meter reflecting pool, styled with vintage-inspired loungers and parasols, where many villas enjoy direct access. It’s a place where mornings begin with coffee and mountain views, and days drift into evenings by the water.
Two pavilion spaces elevate the lifestyle offering: one houses a clubhouse with a restaurant, bar, and bright workspaces; the other focuses on wellbeing with spa, yoga, and fitness amenities. The overall feel is resort-like
— only without a departure date.
Building on a Successful Formula
The Valley follows Sunset Village, Private Residences, the duo’s first project, which launched in 2024 and quickly attracted international buyers, from athletes to creative professionals. That development featured soft, curving forms and a lagoon with a sandy beach, with aesthetics that differed but were equally committed to enviable lifestyle design. Remaining Sunset Village homes now start around €900,000, with a new premium phase offering even more elevated finishes from €1 million.
GIMS describes the new project as an evolution, taking lessons learned and reworking them into a fresh vision.

Accessible Luxury in the Heart of Morocco
Unlike some luxury developments that cater only to the ultra-wealthy, The Valley aims for thoughtful design at broader price points, with villas priced between €490,000 and €750,000. Located just 15 minutes from Marrakech’s stylish Hivernage district, with the desert and mountains at your doorstep, it promises the vacation home many have long imagined, crafted by an artist who knows the value of meaningful living. The development emphasizes an exclusive yet welcoming community, blending modern comforts with the authenticity of Moroccan culture.
Completion is projected for mid-2028, and invitations for the January 26 presentation can be requested via Horizon Morocco’s site.
