With four active children, she and her husband have been fixtures on the local sports scene, coaching various teams and volunteering in numerous capacities, including as a homeroom mom and a Director on the Preschool Board. “Being involved in my children’s activities taught me about multitasking and connecting with people,” Carey explains. “Getting my real estate license was a game-changer,” Carey recalls. “It allowed me to help friends and family with some of the biggest investments of their lives.” Her business grew through word of mouth, a testament to the respect she’s earned. Carey’s involvement in lacrosse, from coaching youth teams and founding and directing a travel lacrosse club, to cheering on her daughters’ college lacrosse teams, has also led to many referrals and satisfied clients.
Navigating today’s real estate market is challenging but also full of opportunities. Carey points at the lack of inventory and the fierce competition among buyers as significant hurdles. “It’s tough when buyers are waiving all contingencies and offering cash well over list price to make their offers most appealing and likely to be accepted,” she notes. To better serve her clients, Carey recently obtained her Loan Originator License. “This allows me to guide my buyers more effectively through the loan process, offering creative solutions and various financing options,” she explains.
Carey is always ahead of the curve when it comes to market trends. She sees technological advancements, sustainability, and demographic shifts shaping the future of real estate. “Expect more smart homes and eco-friendly construction. The rise of property technology and virtual reality is going to change how we buy and sell homes,” Carey predicts. Her forward-thinking approach ensures she’s ready to help her clients navigate these changes.

One aspect Carey would like to improve about the real estate industry is the level of consumer knowledge. “I remember feeling lost before I got my license,” she admits. She has even created personalized manuals and videos to help clients understand every step of their real estate journey.
