In early 2024, a devastating fire struck 1294 Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport. Around 3:30 a.m., flames tore through the mixed-use building, injuring one person and displacing several residents. The Red Cross stepped in to provide support, while firefighters brought the blaze under control within 45 minutes. Despite their efforts, the property, once home to ground-floor businesses with apartments above, was left severely damaged.

What was once torn to ashes is now being revitalized by Alpha Capital Funds.
